Spanish Conversation
Daniel: Estás muy callada hoy. ¿Todo bien?
Daniel: You're very quiet today. Is everything okay?
Emily: Sí... bueno, no sé. He tenido una semana pesada.
Emily: Yes... well, I don't know. I've had a rough week.
Daniel: ¿Por el trabajo?
Daniel: Because of work?
Emily: En parte.
Emily: Partly. There are too many things happening at once, and I feel like I don't finish any of them.
Daniel: Te entiendo.
Daniel: I get it. That happens to me when everything seems urgent.
Emily: Exacto.
Emily: Exactly. Then I get home and keep thinking about what I didn't finish.
Daniel: ¿Has podido dormir bien?
Daniel: Have you been sleeping okay?
Emily: No mucho.
Emily: Not really. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about things I still have to do.
Daniel: Eso ya suena agotador.
Daniel: That already sounds exhausting.
Emily: It is. And it frustrates me because I know I need to rest, but I can't switch off.
Daniel: ¿Quieres un consejo o solo quieres desahogarte?
Daniel: Do you want advice, or do you just want to vent?
Emily: Por ahora, desahogarme.
Emily: For now, I just want to vent.
Daniel: Está bien. Te escucho.
Daniel: Okay. I'm listening.
Emily: Gracias. A veces solo decirlo en voz alta ayuda.
Emily: Thanks. Sometimes just saying it out loud helps.
Daniel: Yeah. And when you want to think about what you can drop or postpone, we can do that.
Emily: Me parece bien.
Emily: Sounds good. But today I think I need to leave early and not open my laptop all evening.
Daniel: Suena como un excelente primer paso.
Daniel: That sounds like an excellent first step.
Emily: And maybe order food instead of cooking.
Daniel: Mejor todavía.
Daniel: Even better.
