In this Spanish conversation, Mariana and Ethan organize their work for an upcoming group presentation. Read the dialogue to practice natural Spanish for dividing tasks, discussing progress, identifying missing information, setting internal deadlines, and coordinating with a classmate so a shared project is ready on time.

Mariana: We need to get organized because the presentation is Thursday.

Ethan: Yes. If we leave it until Wednesday, we're going to suffer.

Mariana: Ya sufrimos la última vez.

Mariana: We already suffered last time.

Ethan: Exacto.

Ethan: Exactly.

Mariana: Yo terminé la parte de antecedentes.

Mariana: I finished the background section.

Ethan: Perfecto. Yo ya tengo casi todos los datos.

Ethan: Perfect. I have almost all the data.

Mariana: ¿Casi?

Mariana: Almost?

Ethan: I still need to confirm one figure from the latest year.

Mariana: ¿La necesitas para la gráfica?

Mariana: Do you need it for the chart?

Ethan: Sí. Sin eso queda rara.

Ethan: Yes. Without it, the chart looks strange.

Mariana: ¿Cuándo la puedes tener?

Mariana: When can you have it?

Ethan: Hoy en la noche.

Ethan: Tonight.

Mariana: Bien.

Mariana: Good. Then I can start the slides with what we already have.

Ethan: ¿Quieres que yo haga las gráficas?

Ethan: Do you want me to make the charts?

Mariana: Sí, por favor. A ti te quedan mejor.

Mariana: Yes, please. Yours look better.

Ethan: That's an elegant way of giving me more work.

Mariana: Exacto.

Mariana: Exactly.

Ethan: Está bien. Te las mando mañana antes de comer.

Ethan: Fine. I'll send them to you tomorrow before lunch.

Mariana: Perfecto. ¿Cómo dividimos la presentación?

Mariana: Perfect. How should we divide the presentation?

Ethan: You do the introduction and background.

Mariana: Y tú los resultados.

Mariana: And you do the results.

Ethan: Sí. La conclusión la podemos repartir.

Ethan: Yes. We can split the conclusion.

Mariana: Me parece.

Mariana: Sounds good.

Ethan: ¿Practicamos el miércoles?

Ethan: Should we practice Wednesday?

Mariana: Sí, pero no muy tarde.

Mariana: Yes, but not too late.

Ethan: ¿A las cinco?

Ethan: Five o'clock?

Mariana: A las cinco puedo.

Mariana: Five works for me.

Ethan: ¿En la biblioteca?

Ethan: At the library?

Mariana: Mejor en una sala de estudio. Así podemos hablar sin que nos callen.

Mariana: Better in a study room. That way we can talk without getting shushed.

Ethan: Buena idea.

Ethan: Good idea.

Mariana: And please don't change the slide design at the last minute.

Ethan: Una vez.

Ethan: That happened once.

Mariana: Una vez fue suficiente.

Mariana: Once was enough.

Ethan: Prometo no tocar el diseño.

Ethan: I promise I won't touch the design.

Mariana: Ahora sí confío en el proyecto.

Mariana: Now I finally trust the project.
