Spanish Conversation
Customer: Hola.
Customer: Hi. I want to change plans because I keep running out of data too quickly.
Clerk: Claro. ¿Cuántos datos tiene ahora?
Clerk: Of course. How much data do you have now?
Customer: Cinco gigas.
Customer: Five gigabytes.
Clerk: ¿Y en qué los usa principalmente?
Clerk: And what do you mainly use it for?
Customer: Maps, music, video calls, and sometimes I use my phone as a hotspot for my computer.
Clerk: Then five gigabytes really is a bit low.
Customer: Eso pensé.
Customer: That's what I thought.
Clerk: We have a ten-gigabyte plan and a twenty-gigabyte one.
Customer: What's the difference besides the data?
Clerk: The twenty-gigabyte plan includes basic roaming in the United States and Canada.
Customer: That would be useful because I travel for work a couple of times a year.
Clerk: Entonces probablemente le conviene ese.
Clerk: Then that one is probably a better fit.
Customer: ¿Cuánto cuesta?
Customer: How much is it?
Clerk: Cuatrocientos cincuenta al mes.
Clerk: 450 per month.
Customer: ¿Con contrato?
Customer: With a contract?
Clerk: You can do a twelve-month contract or month to month.
Customer: Prefiero mes a mes.
Customer: I'd rather go month to month.
Clerk: In that case, it's 50 pesos more.
Customer: Está bien. Prefiero tener flexibilidad.
Customer: That's fine. I'd rather have the flexibility.
Clerk: ¿Quiere conservar su número?
Clerk: Do you want to keep your number?
Customer: Sí, por favor.
Customer: Yes, please.
Clerk: Is your current line in your name?
Customer: Sí.
Customer: Yes.
Clerk: Perfecto.
Clerk: Perfect. Then we need your account number or transfer code.
Customer: I think I have it in my carrier's app.
Clerk: Si quiere, búsquelo y hacemos el trámite ahora.
Clerk: If you want, look it up and we can do the transfer now.
Customer: Sí, deme un segundo.
Customer: Yes, give me a second.
Clerk: Claro.
Clerk: Sure.
Customer: Aquí está.
Customer: Here it is.
Clerk: Perfecto. Con eso podemos empezar.
Clerk: Perfect. We can start with that.
Customer: ¿La línea vieja deja de funcionar de inmediato?
Customer: Does the old line stop working right away?
Clerk: No. It keeps working until the transfer is completed.
Customer: Perfect, because I need my phone for work.
Clerk: You shouldn't be without service for more than a few minutes when the switch happens.
Customer: Bien. Entonces hagámoslo.
Customer: Good. Then let's do it.
