Spanish Conversation

Guest: Buenas noches. Perdón, tengo un problema con mi habitación.

Guest: Good evening. Sorry, I have a problem with my room.

Receptionist: Claro. ¿Qué está pasando?

Receptionist: Of course. What's going on?

Guest: The air conditioning isn't cooling. It's been on for about an hour, and the room is still very hot.

Receptionist: Entiendo. ¿Qué número de habitación tiene?

Receptionist: I understand. What room number are you in?

Guest: La 318.

Guest: 318.

Receptionist: Let me check whether there's any maintenance report.

Guest: Claro.

Guest: Sure.

Receptionist: No veo nada registrado. ¿El equipo enciende normalmente?

Receptionist: I don't see anything reported. Does the unit turn on normally?

Guest: Sí, prende y hace ruido, pero sale aire tibio.

Guest: Yes, it turns on and makes noise, but the air coming out is warm.

Receptionist: Podemos mandar a mantenimiento.

Receptionist: We can send maintenance up.

Guest: ¿Cuánto tardaría?

Guest: How long would that take?

Receptionist: A esta hora, probablemente unos treinta minutos.

Receptionist: At this hour, probably about thirty minutes.

Guest: La verdad, ya estoy bastante cansado. ¿Hay posibilidad de cambiarme de habitación?

Guest: Honestly, I'm already pretty tired. Is there any chance I could change rooms?

Receptionist: Déjeme ver qué tenemos libre.

Receptionist: Let me see what we have available.

Guest: Gracias.

Guest: Thanks.

Receptionist: I have the same room type on the fifth floor.

Guest: ¿También da a la calle?

Guest: Does it face the street too?

Receptionist: No, esa da al patio interior.

Receptionist: No, that one faces the inner courtyard.

Guest: Even better. Can I see it before I move my things?

Receptionist: Sí, claro. Le doy una llave temporal.

Receptionist: Yes, of course. I'll give you a temporary key.

Guest: Perfecto.

Guest: Perfect.

Receptionist: If you like it, come back with this key and we'll make the change official.

Guest: Está bien. ¿Me pueden ayudar después con las maletas?

Guest: Okay. Can someone help me with my bags afterward?

Receptionist: Sí, mandamos a alguien a su habitación.

Receptionist: Yes, we'll send someone to your room.

Guest: Gracias. Voy a subir a verla.

Guest: Thanks. I'll go up and take a look.

Receptionist: Claro.

Receptionist: Of course. If everything looks good, let me know and we'll make the change.
